How Do People Get Acne?

Individuals get acne as their body begins to develop and mature. Acne, commonly known as pimples, is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles plug with oil and dead skin cells. If the openings are large, the clogs take the form of blackheads and if the openings stay small, the clogs take the form of whiteheads. Triggers and causes for acne include stress, hormonal fluctuations, inappropriate skin care products or incorrect usage of skin care products.Pimples often appear on the forehead, face, chest, upper back and shoulders of the affected person. What is Melasma?

Melasma is a commonly found skin problem which causes brown to grey-brown patches on the face. Generally, it occurs on cheeks, bridge of one’s nose, forehead, chin, and above one’s upper lip. Sometimes it can affect other parts of the body that gets exposed to the sun, such as forearms and neck.

Diagnosis

Melasma is usually treated from protecting the skin from getting exposed to the sun. One needs to reapply sunscreen for every two hours to protect themselves from melasma. As per dermatologists, an individual needs to wear a hat that completely protects their face from the sun rays.

When compared to men, women are far more likely affected by melasma. Especially during pregnancy, the hormones seem to trigger melasma.

Important Tips

Melasma is commonly triggered through excess sun exposure, pregnancy, birth control pills, and cosmetics. However, one can take care of their skin condition by following certain tips. They are:

  • Applying sunscreen on a daily/hourly basis
  • Wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses
  • Avoid waxing
  • Gentle skincare product

    Powered by Elos technology, this procedure utilizes the combined energy of light and heat to improve appearance. Eliminates brown spots and spider veins, rosacea, and minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, quickly, efficiently, and safely. 
  • Acne clearance with IPL – Consultation required
    Clears acne safely and effectively. The green wavelength light penetrates deep enough into the skin to cause the proliferation of endogenic porphyrins, resulting in the destruction of the p.acne. The red wavelength produces anti-inflammatory results. The heat opens the pores and speeds up the chemical reaction, resulting in an unsurpassed clearance rate of almost 90% after a series of only 8 treatments.
